How We Grade Our Shirts
Every shirt on Terrace Shirts is graded honestly so you know exactly what you’re getting. We photograph every shirt in detail and note any flaws in the listing description.
Brand New With Tags (BNWT)
Unworn with the original tags still attached. Perfect condition, exactly as it left the shop.
Brand New Without Tags (BNWOT)
Unworn but the tags have been removed. No signs of wear — looks brand new.
Excellent
Worn very lightly, perhaps once or twice. No visible flaws. Colours are bright, fabric is crisp, logos and badges are intact. You’d struggle to tell it from new.
Very Good
Worn but well looked after. Minor signs of wear — perhaps very slight bobbling or a tiny mark that’s barely noticeable. Overall looks great and has plenty of life left.
Good
Shows signs of regular wear. May have light bobbling, minor pulls, small marks, or slight fading. All logos and badges intact. A solid shirt with character.
OK / Fair
Clearly worn with visible signs of use. May have pulls, bobbling, marks, fading, or minor damage. Still very wearable and often the way to pick up rare shirts at a lower price.
A Note on Vintage Shirts
Shirts from the 1980s and 1990s are 30-40+ years old. Even in excellent condition, vintage shirts may show subtle signs of age such as very slight colour changes. This is normal and part of their charm. We always photograph and describe any specific issues.
Still Not Sure?
Every listing has multiple detailed photos. If you’d like more photos or have questions about a specific shirt’s condition, just get in touch and we’ll be happy to help.
